The Magnolia West Mustangs will head out on the road to face off against the Madison Marlins at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Magnolia West is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Madison in Texas (Magnolia West is ranked 252nd, while Madison is ranked 817th).
Magnolia West pushed their score all the way to 47 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They were just a hair shy of victory and fell 48-47 to Friendswood.
The losing side was boosted by Bryson Broadway, who threw for 406 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 12.3 yards per attempt. Chase Lott also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
Sterling typically have all the answers at home, but on Friday Madison proved too difficult a challenge. Madison narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Sterling 23-20.
Magnolia West's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Madison, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 6-4 record this season.
