Ace Monihen's Rushing Yards a New Career-High
 Starting off the list is Council Grove's  Ace Monihen, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. On Friday  Monihen rushed for 200 yards and four touchdowns on only ten carries, good enough to  set a new career-high in  rushing yards in the process. His longest rush was for an impressive 57 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.
 Council Grove pushed their record up to 5-1 with the  win, which was their fourth straight  at home dating back to last season. Monihen and Council Grove will square off against St. Marys at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday.

Osage City Gets a Boost from Parsons in  24-16  Victory
 Osage City picked up their sixth consecutive win   on Friday thanks in part to  Kasen Parsons. St. Marys had no answer to  Parsons  as he rushed for 172 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 10.1 yards per carry, and also threw for 115 yards  on 13 of 21 attempts. Parsons got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 89 yards.
 Osage City's victory was  their third straight on the road, which  pushed their record up to 6-0. Parsons and Osage City will square off against Silver Lake at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday.

Porter Deters' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Mission Valley over Olpe
 Mission Valley had to settle for second  on Friday, but  Porter Deters sure wasn't going down easily. Despite the   loss,  Deters was still balling out as he rushed for 139 yards and a touchdown on only 15 carries, and also threw for 143 yards and a touchdown. His longest rush was for an impressive 67 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.
 This season,  Deters  has thrown 5 touchdowns (and  and only 1 picks) while averaging 79.5 passing yards per game.

Cade Goodell Turns in Season-Best  Effort
 On Friday, Council Grove got the W thanks in part to  Cade Goodell playing the best football he has all season. Goodell rushed for 54 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries, and also picked up 48 receiving yards and a touchdown.
 This season,  Goodell  has caught  those 1 touchdown while averaging 24.3 receiving yards per game.

 Another Council Grove player making an appearance on this list is  Holden Ziegler. He picked up  two  sacks and made seven total tackles (4.5 for loss).
