The Chisholm Trail Rangers''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their eighth straight loss. They took a serious blow against North Crowley, falling 77-0. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Chisholm Trail in their matchups with North Crowley: they've now lost four in a row.
Chris Jimerson had a dynamite game for North Crowley, throwing for 359 yards and seven touchdowns while picking up 12.8 yards per attempt. Dekoryian West-davis did his part for the team as well, scoring a TD off of 60 receiving yards.
Chisholm Trail's loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 1-8. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 11.4 points per game. As for North Crowley, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 9-0.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Chisholm Trail will take on Boswell at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Boswell presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Chisholm Trail in Texas (Boswell is ranked 152nd, while Chisholm Trail is ranked 776th). As for North Crowley, they will head out on the road to face off against Crowley at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Crowley knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three games -- so hopefully North Crowley likes a good challenge.
