After a string of seven wins, Lawrence Academy's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They came up short against the Bear Grass Charter Bears, falling 7-1. The Warriors were not able to make up for their loss to the Bears from their previous meeting back in April of 2018.

Lawrence Academy saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Caroline Halstead, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Lawrence Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 14-4. As for Bear Grass Charter, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 16-3.

Lawrence Academy has already played their next game, a 14-2 loss against East Wilkes on the 18th. As for Bear Grass Charter, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on D.H. Conley at 6:00 p.m. on the 28th.
