Hayden Yelverton Tops All Others This Week
Starting off the list is Community Christian's Hayden Yelverton, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Yelverton wasn't messing around on Thursday, rushing for 98 yards and four touchdowns on only seven carries. The contest was his sixth straight with two or more rushing touchdowns dating back to last season. He also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, forcing two fumbles and making ten total tackles (3.0 for loss).
Community Christian is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season. They and Valor Preparatory Academy are set to duel on Friday.

The win made it two in a row for West Texas T and bumps their season record up to 2-3. Their road trip will continue as they head out to face Panhandle Christian Home Educators at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.

The second Community Christian player making an appearance here is River Bryan, and for good reason. He picked up 40 receiving yards and a touchdown.
