Even though the Paulding County Patriots have not done well against the East Paulding Raiders recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Paulding County came out on top against East Paulding by a score of 36-29. Despite the victory, that was the fewest points Paulding County has scored all year.
It was another big night for Alexus Wilson, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 18 rebounds. Those 18 rebounds set a new season-high mark for she. The team also got some help courtesy of Sam Erves, who scored five points along with eight rebounds.
The victory got Paulding County back to even at 5-5. As for East Paulding, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-7.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Paulding County will take on Harrison at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Harrison will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive. As for East Paulding, they will head out on the road to face off against Villa Rica at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
