The Miami-Yoder Buffaloes came into Wednesday's match having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top against Colorado Springs School by a score of 35-23 on Wednesday. This was payback for Miami-Yoder, who suffered a 35-28 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Miami-Yoder had a senior duo take command as Carley Bringhurst dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 steals and Emma Book dropped a double-double on ten points and ten steals. Book has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. Natalie Tinoco was another key contributor, scoring three points along with eight rebounds and five steals.
Miami-Yoder's victory bumped their record up to 6-8. As for Colorado Springs School, they dropped their record down to 3-12 with that defeat, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season.
Miami-Yoder will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Elbert at 1:00 p.m. Colorado Springs School will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Byers at 5:30 p.m. on February 13th.
