On Friday, Prince Avenue Christian came up short against Rabun County and fell 59-47.
Rabun County got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Reed Burrell out in front who scored 20 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Burrell has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jack Hood, who scored ten points along with nine rebounds and three steals.
Prince Avenue Christian has not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season. As for Rabun County, their win ended a seven-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 6-12.
Prince Avenue Christian's road trip will continue as they head out to face Bethlehem Christian Academy at 12:00 p.m. on January 15th. As for Rabun County, they will challenge Athens Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Athens Christian will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
