The King Cove T-Jacks and Rookies can now show off five landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 83-31 victory over Newhalen on the road. King Cove's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead King Cove to victory, but perhaps none more so than Thomas Mack, who scored 16 points. Jager Brandell was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
King Cove pushed their record up to 6-0 with that victory, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Newhalen, they now have a losing record at 4-5.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. King Cove won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Tanalian at 10:30 a.m. on January 26th. As for Newhalen, they will head out on the road to challenge Lumen Christi at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Lumen Christi has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 29.
