She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out seven over four innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 21 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one double.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Destiny Villas, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2024. Katelynn Yazzie was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

Bradshaw Mountain had taken Flagstaff down for four straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Thursday. The Bears came up short against the Eagles, falling 17-1. The Bears have struggled against the Eagles recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.
Skye Oberan made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run. That home run was her first of the season.
Coconino's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-4. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.6 runs on average over those games. As for Bradshaw Mountain, their loss dropped their record down to 6-5.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Coconino has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 9.3 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Bradshaw Mountain struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 12.2 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Everything went Coconino's way against Bradshaw Mountain when the teams last played back in April of 2024, as Coconino made off with a 7-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
