Lake Stevens has gone a perfect 3-0 against Ferndale recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Vikings will face off against the Golden Eagles at 7:00 p.m. Lake Stevens is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.
Lake Stevens' defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They breezed past Jackson to the tune of 42-0. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Vikings' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Washington football rankings (they are ranked second, while the Timberwolves are ranked 175th).
Jayvian Ferrell had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 95 yards and a pair of scores. He was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 56 yards. Grayson Eggers got in on the action as well, returning a kick for a touchdown.
Special teams also deserves some recognition, posting 12 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Eggers, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown. Another bright spot was a punt return touchdown from Deuce Wilson.
Lake Stevens' defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB three times. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Kayden Blanchard, Will Lynch, and Brayden Slezak, who each picked up one sack apiece. Another thorn in Jackson's side was Antoine Griffin III, who made six total tackles (6.0 for loss).
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Ferndale, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. In a tight contest that could have gone either way, they made off with a 15-14 victory over Snohomish.
The win got Ferndale back to even at 3-3. As for Lake Stevens, their record is now 6-0.
Everything came up roses for Lake Stevens against Ferndale when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 63-6 victory. In that matchup, the Vikings amassed a halftime lead of 42-6, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
