Madeira got themselves on the board against Taylor on Monday, but Taylor never followed suit. They walked away with a 4-0 victory over the Yellowjackets. This was a revenge game for the MUSTANGS/AMAZONS: when they faced off against the Yellowjackets last Wednesday, they had to take a 6-3 defeat.

Madeira saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Carson Shafer, who went 3-for-4 with two triples and two runs. Those two triples gave Shafer a new career-high.

Madeira has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.8 runs over those games. As for Taylor, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Madeira will take on Miami Valley Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Taylor, they will head out to take on Reading at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
