Island Coast had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They came out on top against the Babcock Trailblazers by a score of 48-40. That's two games straight that the Gators have won by exactly eight points.

Among those leading the charge was SirJoshua Anderson, who posted 16 points. Izaiah Bacchus was another key player, putting up nine points.

Babcock lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Jameson Habing, who went 7 of 12 on his way to 16 points along with eight rebounds and four blocks. The contest was Habing's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Chris Romano, who had nine points and three steals.

Island Coast has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. As for Babcock, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-7.

Island Coast didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 61-59 loss against North Fort Myers on the 17th. As for Babcock, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 64-38 defeat against Imagine School at North Port on the 17th.
