On Thursday, Howard put the finishing touches on their 4th blowout victory of the season. They were fully in charge, breezing past Deubrook 73-36. The rankings were on Howard's side, but they didn't forecast quite such a lopsided result.
Deubrook got a solid performance out of senior Clayton Koppatschek, who rushed for 193 yards and 2 touchdowns; unfortunately, it just wasn't enough for the victory. That makes it seven straight good games in a row from Koppatschek. Additional support came from defensive powerhouse junior Trace Vierhuf, who racked up 22 tackles.
Howard's win brought them up to 6-3. Deubrook's loss pushes them down to 5-4.
