Quantico will look to defend their home turf on Friday against St. Michael at 6:00 PM. Quantico is expected to win -- but not by much -- so they will need to come into the contest prepared for a fight.
Quantico had to hit the road for their first game, and unfortunately the road hit them back. They were given a punishing 8-46 loss at the hands of Broadwater Academy. The state rankings had actually given Quantico a slight edge heading into the game, making this hurt that much more.
Meanwhile, St. Michael simply couldn't be stopped last Friday, as they easily beat Richmond Christian 58-0. St. Michael was expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the state rankings had forecast.
St. Michael's win lifted them to 1-1 while Quantico's defeat dropped them down to 0-1. We'll find out if St. Michael can add another positive mark to their record or if Quantico can shake off the defeat and take the spring out of St. Michael's step.
