2A Tri-River recap Oct. 30, 2012
Central Linn extended the longest winning streak in 2A Tri-River this week by beating Regis, 70-30. This was the team's seventh consecutive win.
Waldport's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Irish feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. TJ Fisher has thrown for 1662 yards and 13 touchdowns this season, while Kraig Pruett has 69 catches for 984 yards. Matthew Clark leads the league in rushing with 676 yards.
The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place Central Linn takes on second place Kennedy. Central Linn topped the Rams last week, while Kennedy defeated Waldport.
The Irish's Pruett is only 16 receiving yards away from breaking 1,000 receiving yards this season as he enters this week's game against the Culver.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when the Trojans take on Max Wall's team. Kennedy has allowed 186 points this season, while the Cobras have given up 125. Randy Traeger's team allowed 13 points last week as it bested Waldport.
Central Linn made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 7,992 from 8,641. The improvement came about via a 70-30 victory over Regis last week.
