4A Special District 1 recap November 13, 2013
Ridgeview added to the longest winning streak in 4A Special District 1 this week by beating North Valley, 41-12. This was the team's ninth consecutive win.
Ridgeview took down the Knights 41-12 last week, the largest margin of any game. Boomer Fleming ran for 150 yards and caught 1 pass for 20 yards during the win.
Andy codding's team's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Jacob Johnson threw for 187 and 1 touchdown and Jack Bowman had 101 yards receiving. On the ground Fleming contributed 150 yards. Reece Rollins helped Ridgeview's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 66 yards.
Fleming was the most successful running back in the league this week. Tanner Stevens also contributed to the rushing game with 89 yards on the ground.
Ridgeview's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Ravens feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Johnson has thrown for 743 yards and 10 touchdowns this season, while Bowman has 33 catches for 539 yards.
The Ravens made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 3,503 from 4,521. The improvement was the result of a 41-12 victory over North Valley last week.
