Lowellville lost against Mineral Ridge last Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result  on Saturday. The Rockets took  a  6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rams.
 Geno Perry put in work no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound,   tossing two innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. Perry was also big at the plate,  scoring a  run and  stealing two bases while going 1-for-3.
 Perry wasn't  the only one making solid contact as  two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was  Tyler Tuscano, who  went 1-for-3 with two  RBI and one  double.
Lowellville now  has a losing record of 2-3. As for Mineral Ridge, they pushed their record up to 3-1 with the  victory, which was their sixth straight  at home dating back to last season.
 We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Lowellville will  square off against  rival Memorial  at 5:00  p.m.  on Monday. Meanwhile, Mineral Ridge is set to  challenge  their familiar foe Waterloo  at 5:00  p.m.  on Monday.
