The Coosa Eagles will head out on the road to square off against the Southside Panthers at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many goals in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.
Coosa couldn't capitalize on their home-pitch advantage in their season opener. They suffered a rough 6-0 loss at the hands of Rome on Friday. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Coosa in their matchups with Rome: they've now lost six in a row.
Meanwhile, Southside kept a clean sheet against Grissom on Saturday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Tigers 1-0. Southside wouldn't have won without Camren Thompson, who scored the game-winner.
