Stone Memorial took down Cumberland County 42-21 last week, the largest margin of any game. Thomas Janow ran for 158 yards and caught two passes for 14 yards in the win.
Roane County made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 4,070 from 4,454. The improvement came about via a 34-13 victory over McMinn Central last week.
The Panthers' offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Brady Wattenbarger threw for 90 yards and Brandon Thomas had 26 yards receiving. Seth Seiber helped Stone Memorial's passing attack out by catching one ball for 21 yards.
Christian Academy of Knoxville's Charlie High and Davis Howell have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading AA District 4 in both passing and receiving yards. High has thrown for 2567 yards this season, while Howell, a 6-foot-2 receiver, has 66 catches for 1023 yards. Janow from Stone Memorial leads the league in rushing with 835 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Warriors take on the Yellowjackets. Christian Academy of Knoxville is currently in first, while Roane County is in third.
Mark Wattenbarger's team led the league in scoring this week after putting up 42 points on the Jets. Janow in the win.
