The Sacred Heart Gremlins will square off against the North Callaway Thunderbirds at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Sacred Heart is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than North Callaway in Missouri (Sacred Heart is ranked 132nd, while North Callaway is ranked 485th).
Sacred Heart unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a 53-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of Tipton.
Meanwhile, North Callaway took their contest at home on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 63-32 victory over Wright City. The win was just what North Callaway needed coming off of a 76-48 loss in their prior game.
Sam Pezold continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 21 points and 12 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Paul Russell, who scored 13 points.
Sacred Heart's loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-5. As for North Callaway, their victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-16.
