On Friday, Oakes ended up a good deal behind Valley City and lost 30-14. The Tornadoes have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the loss, Oakes had strong showings from Mathias Dahlstrom, who rushed for 122 yards, and Andrew Rosendahl, who rushed for 45 yards and two scores.

Oakes now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Ellendale/Edgeley/Kulm, their victory bumped their record up to 7-1.
