The Walled Lake Central Vikings came tearing into Tuesday's game with nine straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 20.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on Kettering with a sharp 69-44 win. The result was nothing new for Walled Lake Central, who have now won five contests by 24 points or more so far this season.
When it comes to explaining why Kettering lost, one person who can't be blamed is Nathan Bisnett. Despite the final result, he scored 22 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Diego Rocha, who scored nine points.
Walled Lake Central pushed their record up to 10-1 with that win, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Kettering, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.
Walled Lake Central will look to defend their home court on Friday against Walled Lake Western at 7:00 p.m. Walled Lake Western will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Michigan Rankings (they are ranked 580th, while Walled Lake Central is ranked 37th). As for Kettering, they will head out on the road to face off against Mott at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Mott knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past four contests -- so hopefully Kettering likes a good challenge.
