Foresthill extended the longest winning streak in Sacramento Metro this week by beating Woodland Christian, 45-13. The victory was the sixth in a row for the Wildfires.
Foresthill moved up to 819 from 875 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. Jim Herlehy's team climbed the ranks as a result of topping the Cardinals 45-13.
Valley Christian's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Cameron Woodside threw for 95 and two touchdowns and Josh Bowden had 51 yards receiving. On the ground Teagan Mowry chipped in 154 yards. Caleb Van Patten helped Valley Christian's passing attack out by catching two balls for 44 yards.
Woodland Christian's Josh Truesdell and Kameron Arnold have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Truesdell has thrown for 937 yards this season, while Arnold has 19 catches for 546 yards. The Wildfires' Wes Archbold leads the league in rushing yards with 589.
A big matchup in Sacramento Metro this week will be when Bruce Pielstick's team takes on Cristo Rey. The Cardinals are currently in second, while Cristo Rey is in third.
Foresthill made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 11,262 from 12,048. The improvement was the result of 45-13 victory over Woodland Christian last week.
