Puckett waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They never let the St. Andrew's Episcopal Saints get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory. The Wolves might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by nine runs or more this season.

Raegan Hardin made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out 15 over six innings pitched. Those 15 strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-4.

In other batting news, Puckett let Marleigh Smith and Brooke Shivers run wild. Smith scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3, while Shivers scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3. That stolen base marked the first that Smith snagged this season. Aubrey Pardue was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.

Puckett's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-6-1. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for St. Andrew's Episcopal, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Puckett will take on rival Raleigh at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, St. Andrew's Episcopal is set to face off against their familiar foe Pisgah at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
