Basketball Game Preview: Washington Purgolders vs. Pulaski Rams

Washington has gone 5-0 against Pulaski recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The two teams will face off at 7:00 p.m. without much rest having both just played. Washington knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 12 matches -- so hopefully Pulaski likes a good challenge.

On Thursday, Washington strolled past Barack Obama Career & Tech with points to spare, taking the game 79-63.

Washington got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Rudy Baker out in front who posted 26 points. Baker's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Darion Wash, who scored 21 points.

Meanwhile, Pulaski scored the most points they've had this season on Thursday, but it wasn't enough. They had to suffer through a 93-66 loss at the hands of Milwaukee Madison. The game was over by the end of the first half, with no points scored by either team from that point forward.

Pulaski has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-7 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.0 points per game. As for Washington, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-5.

Everything came up roses for Washington against Pulaski in their previous meeting back in February of 2022, as the squad secured a 77-49 victory. Will Washington repeat their success, or does Pulaski have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
