Hope Christian put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. Their defense stepped up to hand the Sandia Prep Sundevils a 10-0 shutout. Hope Christian's defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last four matchups.

Their offense was hitting Sandia Prep from everywhere, as seven different players booted in a goal. Mechi Garbarino led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

Hope Christian's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Sandia Prep, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2-1.

Hope Christian and Sandia Prep will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next games. The next time the Huskies see the pitch they'll take on Cottonwood Classical Prep at 4:00 p.m. on September 8. As for Sandia Prep, their break will end when they face Piedra Vista at 2:00 p.m. on September 11.
