The Burnsville Blaze will head out to  face off against the Apple Valley Eagles  at 4:30  p.m.  on Monday. Burnsville has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the  game with four straight  defeats, while Apple Valley will come in with three straight  victories.
Burnsville came into this matchup off a tough 13-run  loss on Tuesday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of Shakopee by a score of  6-4 on Thursday. On the bright side, the four- run  effort marked the Blaze's highest-scoring  match to date.
 Brooke Gerber spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned  (and two unearned) runs on nine hits.
 On the hitting side,  Sid Handrahan made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and  went 3-for-4 with two  RBI, one  run,  and one  double. Those  RBI were  her first of the season.  Kate Dam was another key player,  going 1-for-4 with one  run, one  double,  and one  RBI.
Meanwhile, Apple Valley got themselves on the board against Roosevelt on Thursday, but Roosevelt never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Teddies with a sharp  15-0 win. That looming  15-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Eagles yet this  season.
 Brinley Gretz was  incredible,  going a perfect 3-for-3 with four  RBI, two  doubles,  and one  run. Those  three  hits gave  her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of  Taylor Gretz, who  went a perfect 2-for-2 with two  runs, one  triple,  and one  RBI.
 Apple Valley  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .517. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Roosevelt only posted  an  OBP of  .143.
 Apple Valley's record is now 6-11. As for Burnsville, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.
 Burnsville suffered a grim  14-1 defeat to Apple Valley  in their previous meeting  on Tuesday. Can the Blaze avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
