Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Silver Lake to victory, but perhaps none more so than Sophie Schmidt, who posted 16 points and five steals. Schmidt is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma Schmidt, who scored eight points and six steals.
Meanwhile, Blue Hill slipped by Kenesaw 40-39 on Tuesday.
Blue Hill's win came from a few key players Silver Lake will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Reece Mlady, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten boards. Another player making a difference was Ellie Mangers, who earned 11 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals.
Blue Hill smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Kenesaw only pulled down two offensive boards.
Silver Lake's victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-2. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 26.0 points per game. As for Blue Hill, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a massive bump to their 12-6 record this season.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Silver Lake has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 32.1 boards per game. However, it's not like Blue Hill struggles in that department as they've been averaging 26.6 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Silver Lake strolled past Blue Hill in their previous matchup back in January by a score of 33-19. Will Silver Lake repeat their success, or does Blue Hill have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
