Gateway College Preparatory extended their losing streak to four on Thursday, dropping them down to 0-5-1. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 7-5 heartbreaker at the hands of the Bastrop Bears. On the bright side, the five- run performance marked the Gators' highest-scoring contest to date.
Brennan Partlow was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. That RBI marked the first that he has brought in this season.
