The California City Ravens can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Mammoth 46-43. The win was just what California City needed coming off of a 49-27 loss in their prior game.
California City found their leader in underclassman Avery 'Skywalker' Spears, who scored 12 points along with nine rebounds. That's the first time this season that Spears pulled down eight or more rebounds. Ty'Ron 'Eraser' Jones was another key contributor, scoring two points along with 18 rebounds and four blocks.
California City's win bumped their record up to 9-7. As for Mammoth, their loss dropped their record down to 8-6.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. California City will take on Bishop Union at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Bishop Union's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last five contests. As for Mammoth, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Desert at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Desert is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.
