With a playoff game on the line, the Benjamin Buccaneers rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They never let the Raiders onto the board and left with a 4-0 win. Considering Benjamin has won eight matchups by more than two goals this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
They hit Crescent City with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from
Ford Cash (2),
Giancarlo DiLeo, and
Charlie Scotto.
The victory was the third in a row for Benjamin, bringing their record for this year to 12-5-3. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 14 goals over those three contests. As for Crescent City, their loss dropped their record down to 8-8-5.
Benjamin will be playing in front of their home fans against Oxbridge Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Benjamin is coming into the matchup with six straight wins at home, meaning Oxbridge Academy will have to defend against a team hungry for a victory. Crescent City does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
