The Central Virginia Homeschool Athletic Association Patriots will head out to challenge the Isle of Wight Academy Chargers at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Central Virginia Homeschool Athletic Association lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Miller School of Albemarle, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Thursday's contest. The Patriots blew past the Mavericks 25-3 on Thursday. The victory was familiar territory for the Patriots, who have now won three matchups in a row.
Sophia Peterson and Audrey Haywood made a big impact no matter where they played. On the mound, Peterson struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits (and only one walk). Meanwhile, Haywood pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in ten consecutive appearances. At the plate, Peterson went 3-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs, while Haywood went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, five runs, and five RBI. That's the most RBI Peterson has posted since back in March of 2024.

Central Virginia Homeschool Athletic Association took their victory against Isle of Wight Academy in their previous matchup back in April by a conclusive 8-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Patriots since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
