The Bloomer Blackhawks will take on the St. Croix Falls Saints at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Bloomer is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.4 runs per game this season.
Bloomer's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They blew past Shell Lake 13-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Blackhawks.
Eleasha Kuehl was a major factor no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over five innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one run and one RBI. That run was her first of the season.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Lily Pahulu, who went a perfect 5-for-5 with four runs, two doubles, and two RBI. Those RBI were her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Aubrey Tarnowski, who went 1-for-4 with three runs, two RBI, and one double.
Bloomer was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .441. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Shell Lake only posted a batting average of .118.
Meanwhile, St. Croix Falls had just enough and edged out McDonell Central 6-5 on Tuesday.
Like Bloomer, St. Croix Falls also got a great game from a two-way player: Faith Allram. On the mound, she tossed seven innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off seven hits. Allram was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in May of 2025.
In other batting news, Catherine Williams was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
The win got St. Croix Falls back to even at 1-1. As for Bloomer, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
Bloomer might still be hurting after the 16-6 loss they got from St. Croix Falls when the teams last played back in April of 2025. Will the Blackhawks have more luck at home instead of on the road?
