McPherson lost to Maize back in August of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. The Bullpups came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 2-0.

While McPherson won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-23.

McPherson's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Maize, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Coincidentally, McPherson and Maize will both be playing Newton the next time they take the court. The Bullpups will head out to face the Railroaders at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Eagles will play them later in the day, at 4:00 p.m.
