There's no place like home for the Union City Indians, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Cambridge City Lincoln with a sharp 52-28 win on Friday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Union City also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2022.
Luane Schoonbroodt continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 11 points along with six rebounds and six steals. The matchup was her seventh in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Camryn Fischer, who scored 16 points.
Union City has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season. As for Cambridge City Lincoln, they are on a eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.
Union City won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Tri at 6:00 p.m. on December 16th. Tri is coming into the contest hot, having won their last eight games. Cambridge City Lincoln will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Centerville at 6:00 p.m. on January 5, 2024.
