After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Bellbrook, the Edgewood Cougars were happy to have found some success on Saturday. They strolled past Ross with points to spare, taking the game 53-38. That 15 points margin sets a new team best for Edgewood this season.
Among those leading the charge was Maddy Judd, who scored 25 points along with five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Drew Swartzel, who scored eight points along with 11 rebounds.
Edgewood's win bumped their record up to 4-7. As for Ross, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-6.
Edgewood will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Bishop Fenwick at 7:15 p.m. Bishop Fenwick is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Ross, they will head out on the road to take on Harrison at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Harrison has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 474 points over their last eight contests.
