They pulled ahead with a 41-40 photo finish over the Friendship Christian Commanders on Friday. Winning may never get old, but the LIONS sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.
Providence Christian Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Porter Dedman, who rushed for 75 yards and a pair of scores on only eight carries, and also picked up 37 receiving yards and one TD. That's the most receiving yards Dedman has posted since back in October of 2024. Zayden Rauner was another key receiver, picking up 136 receiving yards and one touchdown.
Providence Christian Academy didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Friendship Christian to a completion percentage of just 50%. The LIONS weren't nearly as limited: they posted one of 63.3%.

Looking ahead, Providence Christian Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against University School of Jackson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bruins' defense has only allowed 8.4 points per game this season, so the LIONS' offense will have their work cut out for them.
