Largo scored a stunning upset when it knocked off Venice, 22-21. At the time, the Indians were ranked 13th in the state, while the Packers were 43rd.
Dixie Hollins's Kabriel Jackson rumbled for the longest rushing play in 6A District 7 this season in his game against Osceola last week. Jackson ran for 82 yards on the play and finished with 83 on the day as his team lost to the Warriors.
Tyrie Adams threw for 264 yards and 3 touchdowns. He went 17-26 with 2 interceptions.
Adams put up the best numbers in passing as Dixie Hollins fell to Osceola. Adams' favorite target this week was Davontae Harrington, who caught 7 passes for 140 yards.
Shannon Brooks' team's Adams and Jacquez Hill have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. 6-3 quarterback Adams has thrown for 1,607 yards this season, while Hill has 38 catches for 609 yards. Venice's Terry Polk leads the league in rushing yards with 1,352.
Largo was able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after besting John Peacock's team. Rick Rodriguez's team came in at 21 in the state poll after placing at number 43 last week.
