After soaring to 58 points the game before, the Awaken Christian Lions were a bit more limited in their matchup on Saturday. They were outmatched by Pahranagat Valley at home and fell 50-14.
Katelynn Montello was Awaken Christian's leading scorer, having posted seven points.
Phoenix Sharp held things down on the boards with nine rebounds.
Awaken Christian bumped their record down to 6-4 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 14.0 points per game. As for Pahranagat Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-4 record this season.
Coincidentally, Awaken Christian and Pahranagat Valley will both be playing Lincoln County the next time they take the court. Pahranagat Valley will host Lincoln County at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Awaken Christian will host them at 1:00 p.m. on Friday.
