Harrisburg Christian scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They blew past Veritas Academy 70-47. The win was some much needed relief for Harrisburg Christian as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
Harrisburg Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Eli Stargel led the charge by scoring 16 points along with six rebounds and four steals. Stargel has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Judah Kleinschmidt, who scored 17 points along with five rebounds.
Harrisburg Christian's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-7. As for Veritas Academy, their loss was their fifth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 1-9.
Harrisburg Christian will challenge Newport at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Newport is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak. As for Veritas Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lancaster County Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Lancaster County Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 29 on Saturday.
