On Friday, The Morrisville-Eaton Warriors faced the Sauquoit Valley Indians in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Morrisville-Eaton really took it to Sauquoit Valley for the full four quarters, racking up a 56-6 victory at home. Considering Morrisville-Eaton has won six matchups by more than 29 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Morrisville-Eaton got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Carter Highers out in front who rushed for 80 yards and three touchdowns on only seven carries, and also picked up 36 receiving yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Austin Zaleski, who rushed for 107 yards and two touchdowns on only nine carries.
Morrisville-Eaton's win bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Sauquoit Valley, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-4.
Morrisville-Eaton will look to defend their home field on Friday against West Canada Valley at 7:00 p.m. West Canada Valley has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 226 points over their last four contests. Sauquoit Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
