They were dealt a 77-39 defeat at the hands of Russell-Tyler-Ruthton. Red Rock Central has not had much luck with the Knights recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
When it comes to explaining why Red Rock Central lost, one person who can't be blamed is Corey Arkell. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on ten points and 14 rebounds. Henry Stavnes was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Red Rock Central has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-13 record this season. As for Russell-Tyler-Ruthton, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 12-8.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Red Rock Central is on the road again on Thursday and plays the Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on February 8th. Southwest Minnesota Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past six matches -- so hopefully the Falcons like a good challenge. As for Russell-Tyler-Ruthton, they and the will face off at 7:30 p.m. on February 8th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
