Even though the Millbury Woolies have not done well against the Northbridge Rams recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Millbury breezed by Northbridge on the road to the tune of 63-31. With Millbury ahead 40-12 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
Millbury can attribute much of their success to Kenny Donnelly, who scored 25 points. Jimmer Donnelly was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
The win makes it two in a row for Millbury and bumps their season record up to 2-0. As for Northbridge, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Millbury will face off against Tantasqua Regional at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Northbridge, they will head out on the road to face off against Auburn at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Auburn and Northbridge are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads.
