Basketball Recap: Dirigo Makes It Six in a Row on the Road

Dirigo had won two straight games and Abigail Luczynski did her part to make it three on Monday. Everything went the Dirigo Cougars' way against the Oak Hill Raiders as the Dirigo Cougars made off with a 44-19 victory thanks in part to Luczynski, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten boards. The contest was her third in a row with at least ten points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Sophia Ni?o, who posted six points and four steals. She has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last six times she's played.

Dirigo's win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-4. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 27.2 points per game. As for Oak Hill, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 11 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-13 record this season.

Dirigo will head out to challenge Mountain Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Oak Hill, they will be playing at home against Poland at 6:30 p.m. on January 21st.
