The Badin Rams will be taking part in a tournament against the Goshen Warriors at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Badin is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.7 runs per game this season.
On Tuesday, Badin got the win against Bishop Fenwick by a conclusive 7-1. The result was nothing new for the Rams, who have now won 14 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.
Kendall P. made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out seven over four innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.
In other pitching news, Phebe Kiefer looked comfortable as she tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances.

Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Mattie Canupp, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and one stolen base. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Emily O'Brien, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Meanwhile, Goshen earned a 14-10 win over Sycamore on Wednesday. The victory continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Aviators: they've now won three in a row.
Like Badin, Goshen also got a great game from a two-way player: Bali Parks. Throwing, Parks tossed four innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits. Meanwhile, Skye Shaw tossed 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. At bat, Parks went 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI, while Shaw went 2-for-4 with one home run, four runs, and four RBI.
In other batting news, Macee Stelle was incredible, going 2-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. Journey Combs was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs.
Goshen was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .394. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive games.
Goshen's win bumped their record up to 11-6. As for Badin, their victory bumped their record up to 18-5.
Badin's speedy runners might be the difference in Thursday's contest. The Rams have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Goshen, though, as they've been averaging only 0.1 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Badin continue to outrun the ball?
Everything went Badin's way against Goshen in their previous meeting back in May of 2021, as Badin made off with a 12-2 win. Do the Rams have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Warriors turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
