Palmetto has gone a perfect 6-0 against Northeast recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Tigers will host the Vikings at 7:00 p.m. Palmetto is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.8 runs per game this season.
On Thursday, Palmetto needed a bit of extra time to put away Lakewood Ranch. They came out on top against the Mustangs by a score of 8-4.

MaKenna Lee spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on eight hits and racked up 13 Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than nine strikeouts in 11 consecutive appearances.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on LeiLani Cruz, who went 1-for-2 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI. That triple marked the first that she hit this season. Another player making a difference was Keleah Peters, who went 2-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Northeast, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Wednesday. They put the hurt on Seminole with a sharp 9-2 win on Tuesday. Considering the Vikings have won five matches by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Northeast also let their pitcher toss all seven innings and she was also dialed-in: Danielle Brunner gave up just two earned runs on five hits and racked up seven Ks.
On the hitting side, Lauren Fernald and Makayla Simon did most of the damage at the plate: Fernald scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4, while Simon scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. What's more, Fernald posted three RBI, the most she's had since back in April of 2024. Ava Twinam was another key player, scoring two runs while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.
Northeast hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in six consecutive games.
Palmetto has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-6 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.4 runs over those games. As for Northeast, they now have a winning record of 6-5.
Palmetto skirted past Northeast 1-0 when the teams last played back in February. Will the Tigers repeat their success, or do the Vikings have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
