Colin Cross continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 28 points along with six rebounds and two steals. That makes it five consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Weir's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Malachi Stromile, who scored nine points along with six assists and six rebounds.
Several Golden Bears players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was A J Ramgeet, who scored 14 points. Another player making a difference was Preston Cole, who scored 11 points.
Weir's victory bumped their record up to 4-10. As for Oak Glen, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Weir will take on Indian Creek at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Indian Creek is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak. As for Oak Glen, they will be playing at home against Madonna at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in West Virginia (Madonna is ranked 647th, while Oak Glen is ranked 624th).
