The Hart Longhorns lost against the Springlake-Earth Wolverines back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Hart took a serious blow against the Wolverines, falling 75-40. Hart was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 51-15.
Springlake-Earth was led to victory by Isaiah Tovar and Jj Jaramillo. Tovar scored 22 points along with eight rebounds and two steals, while Jaramillo scored 26 points along with two steals. It was the first time this season that Tovar pulled down eight or more rebounds. Timothy Tovar was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with two steals.
Hart now has a losing record at 8-9. As for Springlake-Earth, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-8 record this season.
Hart will be playing in front of their home fans against the Kangaroos at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Kress focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 23 on Friday. As for Springlake-Earth, they will head out on the road to face off against the Longhorns at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing isn't great for Lazbuddie: they have been struggling with four straight losses at home, while the Wolverines have snatched up three consecutive wins on the road.
