Commerce is 1-9 against Elbert County since March of 2022 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Tigers will take on the Blue Devils at 5:30 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Commerce comes in on three and Elbert County on 11.

Meanwhile, Elbert County's hitters rose to the challenge against a Leopards pitching crew that boasted an average of only 3.42 runs allowed on Friday. The Blue Devils put the hurt on Banks County with a sharp 15-0 victory. The Blue Devils are also no stranger to big wins: their blowout was the tenth matchup they've won by 6+ runs this season.
Brody Baker was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with three RBI and one double. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, Jose Rodrigues was a standout: he got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one home run, five RBI, and three runs. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March. Cheyvis Mclendon also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.
Commerce's record now sits at 12-15. As for Elbert County, their record is now 21-6.
Commerce came up short against Elbert County in their previous meeting back in April of 2025, falling 14-9. Can the Tigers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
